Jaidyn Turns Six!

I can't believe my little Jaidy girl is already 6 years old. The time has flown by so fast. I still remember her as a funny little girl with big cheeks and a big smile. She hasn't changed much in some ways but she has in other ways. She is in Kindergarten and loves it. She has already started reading and can read "Green Eggs and Ham" all on her own among many other books. I am so proud of her and the great example she is to her brother and sister and also to her parents. She always has a smile on her face and loves to help me out with anything I may need. She is in ballet, tap and jazz and LOVES it. She also loves to sing, ride her bike, and do any sort of craft. Jaidyn is such a wonderful girl and she is such a blessing to our family. We love her so much!

Family Day!

Our Ward had a family skating party on Family Day. Cyril was sick with the stomach flu so he stayed home but Sherilyn, Jay, Mckenna and my mom all came with us. Mateya, Jaidyn and I just got new skates so we were excited to test them out. It was really fun. After we went to Sherilyn's house and went for a walk with the kids to the park because it was such a beautiful day. We also stayed for dinner.

West Edmonton Mall!

For Christmas this year, Matt and Rachelle gave the girls a certificate for a trip to West Edmonton Mall on Feb 1-3. Mateya and Jaidyn drove up with Matt, Rachelle, Tyler and Tobias. Cyril, Holton and I decided to join them for the fun and drove up separately. We all stayed one night at the Days Inn not too far from the mall. The girls stayed in the family suite with the Buffam's and we stayed down the hall.

Friday: We headed straight to the mall hoping to arrive by 6pm so we could ride the last 3 hours of the rides at Galaxyland for a discounted price. We found out that they were actually closing at 7 pm for a private function. The girls were very disappointed but were still able to go on a few rides. After that we walked down the mall to see the the pirate ship. Matt, Tyler and the girls went mini golfing while the rest of us walked around and let the boys explore a bit.

Saturday: We all spent the day at the World Waterpark and had a blast! The girls really enjoyed the waterslides, especially the tube slides. I even got to enjoy several slides and went with Cyril and Tyler on the one that drops straight down. After the busy, exhausting day at the pool we went to Old Spaghetti Factory for dinner and then drove the 3 hours home not arriving until 1 am. Mateya and Jaidyn went home with Rachelle and Matt to have a sleepover at their house and then we picked them up the next day. Thanks for the awesome weekend Rachelle, Matt, Tyler and Tobi!!

Bowling!

Last Saturday we went bowling with some of the family. Justin and Heather were in town but Heather went to get her hair cut so Justin was on his own. Sherilyn and Jay were busy so they couldn't come. We had fun. It was Holton's first time and he was more interested in holding the bowling balls than rolling them. They even had shoes in his size! Everyone played really well. Jaidyn did better than Cyril and I and almost beat her sister! Justin scored the highest for the adults and Emma for the kids. Thanks for the fun times everyone!

I Spy a ... Spy!

One day a few weeks ago Mateya and Jaidyn were playing "Spys". They got all dressed up in black all on their own. I had to take some pictures because it was so funny!

Christmas!

I know this is almost a month late but here are some Christmas pictures. We had a wonderful Christmas. Busy but fun! Santa was very good to us all and we really enjoyed the time spent with family. We hope 2008 will be just as good to us!
