A few months ago Cyril bought a safe trap to catch the jackrabbits that have decided to make a home in our backyard and leave little 'treats' in the grass for the kids. Since we don't want to put up a fence this seemed to be a great option to get rid of the 'pests'. But, it seemed as soon as we bought the trap all the jackrabbits stayed away. Our yard was free from animals... or so we thought! We were out of town for a few days and when we came home late that night we never checked the trap. The next morning I opened the blinds and looked out realizing we had caught something in the trap... but it wasn't a jackrabbit!
IT WAS A SKUNK!!!!!
After Cyril got home from work he suited up to somehow get rid of our unwanted guest. This is what he looked like!
So the skunk is dead and our yard is back to normal. The trap now lays unused at the side of the house because Cyril is not willing to take a chance of catching another skunk! I guess it's time to put up a fence!
